Disabling Fax--can it be done?

E

Eric Oatman

Whenever I try to print out an envelope, I hit "print"
and the Fax Wizard pops up. I cancel the wizard, then
lose the mailing address I'd already typed into the
template. I start over, the same thing happens--print,
wizard, cancel, lost. I don't need an internal fax. Can I
disable it? Will disabling solve my problem?
Thanks.

I can only ask the obvious question: is your Windows default printer
currently set up to be the fax printer? If so, I would expect the behaviour
you describe. As far as I know the Print button in the Envelopes dialog
simply uses ActiveDocument.Envelope.Printout to produce the output, and as
far as I know, that prints to the Windows default printer.

Otherwise, are there any pre-installed macros in your installation (I'm
wondering whether something could "intercept" the standard document print
feature and change the printer before printing) ?

An obvious workaround would be to add the envelope to the current document
then use File|Print to print it so you can select the correct printer.
