disabling formatting option in revision tracking

Within a document, I often need to turn revision tracking
on and off several times and I don't want the formatting
option. However every time I turn tracking on again it
defaults to re-selecting the formatting option.

Does anyone know how to keep formatting turned off even
when the tracking option is turned back on?
