Disabling Task Pane

Is it possible to completely disable the task pane.

Even if it is invisible and interface customization is
turned off, it is not hiding.

It is probably a Visio 2003 bug since I have read that from other
post. Does anyone knows how to fixed this? Maybe I can fixed it from
the registry?

Not sure if this is what you mean, but select Tools menu,
Options, View tab, untick Startup Task Pane.

I have tried this one too. The task pane is not loaded at startup but
as soon as I am opening a new visio file, the task pane(template help)
appears.

Try Tools > Options > General > Service Options. Go to Online Content and
uncheck the Template Help option.

Thank both, for asking/answering that question. That darned Template Help
has been driving me nuts. ;-)
