When deselecting the "Update to task status updates
resource status" check
box on the Calculation tab in Options, I took a task with
current duration of 5 days and used the update task
dialogue to indicate an actual duration of 5 days and
remaining duration of 2 and it calculated and inserted
actual work for the first 5 days! I see that it inputs
actual work when you mark a task as 100% complete.
I thought that when deselecting that option, MS Project
would never generate actual work values. Is this an
exception and are there others? Is there anyway to make
sure that MS Project will never insert actual work values.
Kind regards
