Disabling timesheets

Folks,
Our organization does not want to implement Project
2003's timesheet tracking yet.
We're in the process of a pilot project
implementation. The project started in July 2002, has a
set of actuals already (being tracked using Project
Professional) and we've just imported the project into
Project Server.
Unfortunately, now everyone's PWA home page provides
them with a long list of weekly timesheets that they have
not submitted.
We've tried going configuring to and from Non-Managed
periods but we always have these messages.

If you really want to get rid of the timesheet in Project Web Access, your
Project Server administrator can disable this feature. In doing so, I would
also recommend that he/she also disable the other features on the View My
Tasks page, such as Create a new task, Delegate task, etc. as well.

I do question the wisdom of this course of action, however. I think you are
leaving a signficant group of people out of your Project Server pilot
project , which is your Team Members group. An effective pilot should have
all interested parties involved, including project managers, executives, and
team members. Your team members should be entering their actuals in Project
Web Access each week, and their project managers updating their project each
week into the project plan. Otherwise, how can you effectively judge
whether this tool is performing according to your company's needs?

Also, I believe that Microsoft has released a HotFix for the PWA Home page
problem with overdue timesheets. Hope this helps.
