I just installed Outlook 2003 on my Tablet PC. What sadistic lunatic
decided that every email message should get a tooltip? EVERY MESSAGE!
I've only used the software for a day or so, and it's already getting
on my nerves.
OK, I just changed the reading pane view to Bottom, and got rid of the
tooltips for the subject lines of my email. However, I still get the
following "useful" gems:
Rolling over "Date: Today" generates the tooltip: "Date: Today"
Rolling over the sender icon generates a tooltip with the exact same
sender text (which was already fully visible)
Rolling over the icon that appears after "on behalf of" creates an
erratically flashing tooltip that isn't on the screen long enough to
read.
I want to meet the demented imbeciles from the focus groups that
thought this was a good idea. This is almost more annoying than the
animated paperclip. How Microsoft ever got to be so big eludes me.
(Actually, I know how, and it doesn't have anything to do with
superior software).
In an ideal world MacOS would be king and Bush wouldn't be president.
