I am trying to use the Polish Programmer's keyboard layout to enter text in
the Polish language. It works fine in most other programs, but can't get it
to work at all, hardly, in Word. The problem is that Word has so many
keyboard shortcuts assigned that conflict with the alt-ctl+letter key
combinations required to enter some of the Polish characters.
I have managed to go in and remove most of the keyboard shortcuts so that
most of the letters work, but can't find where to get rid of the alt+ctl+e
shortcut that produces the Euro symbol.
Anyway, it is a very tedious job to go through all the shortcuts to find the
ones that conflict. Also, this method completely removes some things I'd
like to use when not typing Polish.
What I'd like to find is an easy way to turn off the shortcuts when the
Polish keyboard layout is in effect and on when the English is in effect.
Also, I need to find where to disable the Euro symbol shortcut.
I recently found and downloaded Microsoft's Visual Keyboard utility, and
installed it. It shows that in the Polish Programmer's Keyboard layout, the
Euro symbol should be using alt+ctl+u in stead of alt+ctl+e, so there is
obviously a bug in the layout which is causing this conflict.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
Thanks.
