Disallow delete task in PWA

In the 2007 version, a team member can "delete task" in PWA. If accepted by
the project manager, it will delete it from the plan. We do not want to give
the team members the ability to delete tasks. Is there a way to disable this
funtion on the "My Tasks" page?

There is no obvious permission to remove this function (someone may correct me)

My way around this is to create a new approval rule which automatically
rejects all task deletion requests.

Question: We had a similar problem in 2003 - fixed by disabling the "Hide"
tasks in the PWA user's profile. Now Users do not have the "Hide" option to
show up for them on their tasks screen. Would this same work around be
available in 2007? It is VERY important to be able to Stop users from
deleting tasks. We are in process of evaluating When to Move from EPS2003 to
EPS2007.

I tried doing this but the only way I could get the rules to work is to
approve tasks that meet certain criteria (i.e. task deletion request). I
could not find a way to REJECT tasks that meet that criteria.

In other words, there are only accept rules, no reject rules.

I think I am missing something obvious in my rule setup. Any suggestions?

The only purpose of Rules is to approve tasks that meeting certain criteria.
However, it would be nice if there was a way to reject tasks that meet
certain criteria as well. Or better still, it would be nice if there was a
permission that would disable the Delete button on the My Tasks page!

Although there is no permission to disable the Delete button, the Delete button can be hidden or disabled very easily.
