Disallow Local Resouces

Hello there,

is there any way to deny a user to create local resources and assign them?
When a user enters something in the resourcename field in Project 2007 and
this
resource does not exist as enterprise resource it is created as a local
resource. I'd like to deny this creation in order to assign only enterprise
resources! I did not find any permission to prevent creating local resources.

Any help is appreciated.

If only there was an option to select !

There are a number of approaches to this.

Write a macro to scan for local resources.

Write a server side event to do the same.

Restrict updates to PWA (Task Settings & Display). This won't stop PM's
assigning local resources, but they won't be able to update the assignments.
