Disappearance of text inside table.

In Word 2003, I have a table, in one of the columns, when I get to the
bottom of the page typing in text, instead of the table continuing on
to the next page and letting me continue to add text in that column,
it just disappears. I can see the tops of the letters I'm typing, but
as I type, the letters just don't go anywhere viewable. There is
already a table on the next page, but usually it just moves that table
to a new page with a page break and let's me continue typing as the
table wraps to the next page so I can see the text, but as I said, the
text is disappearing, and it doesn't go anywhere and the table on the
next page is not affected in any way.

I suspect you have inadvertently nudged the table by touching its handle (or
perhaps you even intentionally moved it). When you do this it becomes
wrapped and may not be able to break to the next page. If you have the
Compatibility Options set at the Word 2003 default, the table will wrap, but
if the document was created in an older version, the option "Don't break
wrapped tables across pages" will be checked. In any case, correct the
problem by going to the Table tab of Table Properties and setting text
wrapping to None.
