Disappearing Act-Recurring

About once a year, randomly, most if not all of my recurring appointments
disappear from my normal DAY/Week/Month view.
I can still see them in View/Current View/Recurring Appointment and
Outlook:Today.... but not in my desired Day/Week/Month view.
I'm using OL2002. But it also happened in OL2000.
I have tried copying to a new .pst file, but they still remain hidden.
My solution has been to print out the daily/weekly/monthly/annual items and
reenter them as recurring appointments, but this is very tedious and almost
outweighs the value of using a computer calendar.
If anyone has a suggestion, I would appreciate same.
