Disappearing data in Project 2003 SP3

I have a user who repeatedly has this problem:

He created a new .mpp file, populated it with data, saved it on several
occasions while doing this, and closed it. When he next open it, the file is
there in the directory with the correct name, but the file contains no data.

Anyone else have this problem?

Probably not your case, but I think I saw this with a non-activated
installation.

We have a similar problem.

We use MSP 2003. When we create a .mpp file, download data from SAP (via
OpenPS) save the project and then close it. Then when user re-opens the file
nothing appears.
If we do the same but save it as a 98 mpp file then we do not have any
problem.
It is a workaround but not a real solution I guess...
