Disappearing Emails

When I get an email in the inbox. Whatever has the focus
on it dissppears after a couple of seconds. Then the
next email will disappear. etc...

Only on inbox folder, and nothing appears in the deleted
folder, in the upper right it says filters applied even
though I turned off all rules.

Sounds like you're using a view that only shows unread messages and you have
Outlook set to mark a message as read after it's been displayed in the
Preview Pane. Go to View -> Current View and make sure that you've selected
"Messages" and not "Unread Messages".
