Disappearing Exchange Address Lists

We are running Outlook 2003 on WinXP Pro systems that are connected to an
Exchange 5.5 server. Every once in a while (i.e. twice a week) when a user
opens Outlook 2003 and goes to the Address Book, the Address Lists in the
Exchange Global Address List do not appear. When this happens, simply
closing Outlook and re-opening it fixes the problem. So, it sounds like a
communication glitch. But, we never had this problem using Outlook 2000. It
is only since we updated to Outlook 2003 that this occurs.

Is there an issue with Outlook 2003 connecting with an Exchange 5.5 Server?
I have turned off Outlook 2003 Cached Mode for the Exchange server - trying
to force it to connect to the server when Outlook opens. But the problem
still occurs.
