disappearing index.html and ms frontpage 2002

How do I stop index.html of ms frontpage from disappearing?
When I click on index.html of my website: index.html
opens, closes, and ms frontpage also closes. i have no
problems with the other website files. the disappearing
index.html is the only problem. Please help. Thank you.
