Disappearing Meeting Requests

I have a user who manages her boss's calendar. She is on Outlook 98 and he
is on Outlook XP. If she opens an invitation and chooses to view the
calendar to check for conflicts, the meeting then disappears from the
calendar and can no longer be viewed She has automatic processing on, so the
meeting should stay there as tentative, but the meetings are disappearing
from the calendar before she has accepted them. Both she and her manager
receive copies of meeting requests. Only she responds to them. If her manager
then opens his copy of the email, it says that the meeting has been moved or
deleted. If she tries to open the invitation again, she gets the same thing.
