Disappearing Microsoft office image writer

M

Monte

Hello,
I have been use the "Microsoft Office ImageWriter" that
came with my XP Home Version. It worked great and I
found it a great replacement for Adobe's .pdf writer.

Now my "Microsoft Office ImageWriter" file is missing on
my machine. My hunch is: I recently downloaded Office
2003 Beta version. The Beta version expired on Nov 30th
and I believe it took my ImageWriter with it!!

Now I have been searching the Microsoft site for the file
to replace it and am coming up empty. Does anyone out
there know how I can repair this. I would be very
grateful.

That would be a part of Office, not Windows. Reinstall it from your Office
XP CD(s).

Microsoft does not make the basic product files available for publiuc
download. There are patches for files you already have, but searching for
downloadable program files is futile.

I'm not sure where this application came from. My
computer only came with MS Works! NO Office. I
downloaded Office Beta 2003. When I Uninstalled it, it
took the Document Image Writer with it. I assumed it came
from Windows XP Home. Can this be reinstalled without
loosing files? Or am I getting something entirely
wrong...(?)
