Disappearing projects in master file

Project 2003

I had over 60 projects in a master file. Now there are five left. This has
happened before but I couldn't find out the reason why. Now it's doing it
again. When I try to reinsert projects it gives me an error message like the
project is still there. Help!

Error message: A project can be only inserted once in a consolidated
project. Select a different project to insert.

Karen,
Well let's try the obvious first. Do you have a filter applied to the
master? The filter should be "all tasks". Is the master fully expanded?
That is, are all subprojects expanded to show all subtasks?

If neither of the above is applicable, it is possible that the master is
corrupt. You could try using one of the techniques listed under FAQ 43 -
Handling project file corruption and/or bloat,
(http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm), but it might just be easier to
rebuild a new master. This assumes of course that there are no tasks in
the master itself.

No filter. I'll look at the FAQ. Thank you.
