Disappearing Ruler in Word 2003

Anyone ever come across the ruler disappearing and showing back up on it's
own? We have one user that this happens too. We have reloaded Office, done
a detect and repair and have also given him a new Normal. Still happening
though. Any ideas?

I had this problem when I had the ruler turned off in Print Preview. As soon
as I displayed it in PP again (even though I don't want or need it there), I
didn't have a problem with it disappearing in other views.
