I just discovered a perplexing problem that has me totally vexed.
I'm running MS Word X (Service Release 1) on a Mac G4/dual-1 gig, and just
discovered that the vertical scroll bar on the right has disappeared.
Damndest thing I've ever seen -- or _not_ seen, in this case.
I have installed a few bits of new software lately, but none dramatic or
non-standard. Every other Mac OSX program has vertical scrollbars, without
fail. Only Word is a culprit. Entourage still works fine, as does Excel, so
it's not necessarily a Microsoft thing.
I can't find a thing in the Prefs that deals with vertical scroll bars, and
even if it was there, I gots no idea as to how (or why) it would ever get
turned off.
Anybody have any suggestions?
