I have a custom form (Outlook 2003) with a large textbox called "txtResume"
bound to a field called "Resume" in the Public Folder (Exchange 2003). When
I create a contact and paste their resume (1-3 pages of text) into the
multi-lined textbox called "txtResume", the information displays great. I
can save and close the item, re-open it and see the information fine.
However, if I save and close the item. Open a new item. Then re-open the
original item, nothing appears in the "Resume" field. Even stranger, I can
search on the field and items that have the missing information will be
displayed in the search results even though when you open the item, the
"Resume" field is blank. Also, you can see part of the information if you
have the field listed as part of a folder view (such as a table view), but
when you open the item, the field appears blank.
The same items that are missing information (not really, you just can read
it when you open the item), do display the information correctly in Exchange
2000. I've exported them and they display fine with no problems.
Can anybody tell me what I could possibly do to remedy this situation? This
behaviour affects about 30% of our 20,0000+ contacts and has really hindered
my users' ability to do their jobs. I'm at my wits end.
Thank You,
John
