Disappearing Text

A colleague of mine has typed a document and whilst the
text shows on his screen some of it will not print out and
cannot be seen in the Print Preview. When I open the
document on my computer, the particular section of text
cannot be seen at all.

Nicky,

The text may be formatted as hidden and the colleage has show hidden text
selected (Tools>Options>View>Formatting Marks) on the computer. Hidden text
will not show in print preview.

Perhaps your colleague inadvertantly selected a hidden
font for this text.

Look to see if the checkbox for hidden text is selected
for this text. First, select the text, then click...

Format | Font: and clear the hidden text box.

You can print hidden text by clicking...

Tools | Options | Print: and select hidden text.

Check to see if the text is formatted as Hidden. With non-printing
characters on (click ¶ on the standard toolbar) does it have little dots
underneath it?
