Disaster Recover

Bob E

I have the following files in a backup and want to copy them to Outlook on my
new hard drive. I do not use Outlook E-Mail at present. I want my schedule,
my contact list, and my tasks. I have as follows:
outcmd - a DAT file
Outlook - an Office Data File
Outlook - an XML Document
Outlook.srs - an SRS file
and outlprnt - type just says "file"

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks, Bob

None of those are Outlook data files. They are all settings file. Outlook data would be in a .pst file. See http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm

So, if the actually required files are erased it might be possible to
restore them with data recovery tools. I've used one of these tools
before and the files lost due to hdd failure were back again, none of
them corrupted. That might help you in a situation. The tool, Undelete,
worked perfect, you can also use it for this purpose.
