Disclosure Triangles

I wrote previously about the lack of Disclosure Triangles in Entourage. I created a New Identity which created Entourage with Disclosure Triangles and the program appears as it would if I used it for the first time. This gives me the Disclosure Triangles, but I could not import the Main Identity data base because there is not a 2004 listed; only 2001 and X are the options allowed along with other email programs I do not have. So I have the Disclosure Triangles but am now without any of the data I want and need in my email program.

I copied the all the Main Identity files to the New Identity, but the database leads to the same problem, where I there are not any Disclosure Triangles.

Please walk me through how I can have the Disclosure Triangles and retain all my email program with my most recent data and all my address book.

This is very frustrating. I have not done anything to have caused the loss of the Disclosure Triangles.

You would have to import the data as an RGE.
First, export data as RGE in you identity with data, go to file and export,
then choose RGE

Then import the RGE into a brand new identity, on this page you can see how
to import, go to file and choose import,on this page you see a step by step
instruction, including a movie of the import process.

You have to setup your accounts in the new identity, copy the settings from
the old identity by going to tools - accounts and get all your settings from
there.

Then go to the new identity and setup the accounts by going to tools -
accounts and click new - click setup account manually during setup when you
want the exact same screen as in your old identity.

You can't use Entourage's import function from the same version. You are
able to manually import files like the Entourage archive (.rge) files. See
this movie for help moving the folders.

Diane,

Thank you for your suggestions, but switching identities, importing rge, or drag/dropping mbox files does not make the Disclosure Triangles return. I can click next to the folders to have them open and close with the Main Identity, but the Disclosure Triangles are not visible.

Please advise. Thank you.

Can you post a screenshot? Before and After opening.

How To Post Screen Shots To Newsgroups

1. On your keyboard, press Command-Shift-4.
2. On your keyboard, press the space bar.
3. Click the window you want. A picture file will appear on the desktop.
