Disconnected Recordset

Hi

I am using ADP for the first time.

The database on MSSQL has 41,000 records in the table used most. When
viewing the table from within Access my PC runs very slowly Pentium 4, 2.4
Mhz 500meg ram.

Is this because Access uses Disconnected Recordsets and its writing them to
and from MSSQL.

Is there anyway of speeding them up?

Any help/ideas would be appreciates.
