We have a setup of Windows 2000 ADS with Exchange 2000 & Outlook XP
It has been observed that:
1. When we send/ reply/ forward an e-mail it remain in outbox; unless and otherwise we click on some other e-mail or does any other e-mail related operation. Hence at a time these is one e-mail always remaining in the outbox.
2. Similar is the case with incoming mails i.e. outlook is open and we are doing some other job, as soon as we click either for composing new e-mail or reply to existing e-mail, we receive a bunch of e-mails (if any).
Another thing noticed is when enabling Windows Firewall this error is coming ;if Windows Firewall(ICF) is disabled then the mail flow becomes smooth.
So I would appreciate if someone can suggest how to resolve this weird behavior and let the email flow be smooth.
