Discrepancies in Actual Work and Actual Protected Work

In PWA, a project displays Actual Work = 0 hrs and Actual Protected
Work = 116 hrs. When user clicks project name for a drill-down, the
detailed view shows Actual Work as 116 hrs. In MSP Professional, Actual
Work and Actual Protected work are both shown as 14 hrs? Why is there
the discrepancies?

note: messages regarding "out-of-sync" appear on opening project in MSP
Pro.

Please advise. Many thanks.

I have experienced exactly the same problem but have been unable so far
to get an explaination

It sounds like the actual hours were updated in Project Pro not PWA. To sync
the systems up you must republish the task and check the overwrite actuals
flag. Make sure you do not have any pending updates for that task as they
will go away.
