Discrepancy between data in project center view & resource view

I have some tasks that are marked 100% complete in Professional, and
consequently, these show up as complete in the project center view. But for
some reason, when I go to the Resource page and choose "View resource
assignments," the task shows as incomplete. All updates have already been
posted for this job. Where is the discrepancy? Any help would be greatly
appreciated as I am pulling out my hair trying to figure this one out!

In the future, please post your Project Server questions to the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is devoted to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. To answer your question, it
sounds like you manually entered progress in the Microsoft Project plan. If
this is the case, you must click Collaborate - Publish - Republish
Assignments, select the "Overwrite actual work entered by resources" option,
and click OK. This process will "push" the actuals from the Microsoft
Project plan to the PWA timesheet and the View Resource Assignments page.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help - your solution worked. Is there a way to make this
happen by default or does this mean we have to go in every day and republish
assignments so there is no discrepancy?

Every time you manually enter progress in the Microsoft Project plan by
typing the actuals into the plan, then you must republish the assignments
using the steps I outlined. When you accept updates from team members on
the Updates page in PWA, and the system pushes those updates into the
Microsoft Project plan, you simply need to click Collaborate - Publish - All
Information. Hope this helps.
