Discrepancy with calendar share

S

Sean Bryan

Here's an interesting problem.

User A has given User B full access to his calendar. User B opens User A's
mailbox using "open these additional mailboxes" option in E-Mail Accounts.

User B cannot view the appointments User A creates, but User B can add
appointments, so it doesn't strike me as a problem with permissions. User A
can get two meeting entries because of this.

The same problem is also seen in his shared contacts.

Thanks for your help

Hi there

You shouldn't rule out permissions - it is possible to be set up to see only
the items you create yourself, so I'd definitely suggest checking that out
first. If you have Outlook Web Access you could get User B to try opening
User A's calendar that way - that would confirm it (because a lot of
client-side problems are bypassed using OWA). Your Exchange admin should be
able to tell you the URL to use for another user's calendar, or you can
figure it out by opening your own Calendar in a new window and substituting
the mailbox name in the URL.
