Discussion Board in Project Server

Hi I want to be able to create a Discussion Board List for all projects in
Project Web Access just like the Issues, Risks and Documents Lists....
Is this possible? We want to know if there's a way to centralize all QA
Discussions in the project site rather than saving all email discussions and
uploading them to the Shared Documents Library.

Thanks.

SharePoint has this capability. Maybe you want to create an individual
SharePoint site and open a discussions board on that site? Would this work?

Hi Gary,

Thanks for your reply. We actually want to use the existing Discussion board
in the Sharepoint site that gets created whenever a new project is
published. However in Project Web Access, only the Issues, Risks and
Documents are readily available to the users (the top blue navigation bar)
and even in the Project Center, only the Issue, Risk and Document Icons
appear on the Indicator Column. I just want to be able to give the users
easy access to this discussion board like how issues and documents are
linked to a project.

Has this been done?

Abi:

You could consider teaching users to click on the link from the Project
Center to go to the selected project's SharePoint site or you could create
new custom menu item. The first solution requires training only, the second
solution adds an ever-present link. Beyond that, you can customize the PWA
interface to make your presentation layer more customized, however I suggest
you stick to one of the first two options.

Hi Gary, the first solution they already know. I would just like to be able
to give them
easier access to it like how issues, risks and documents are linked to a
project.
The second solution only adds one link, which means I would have to create a
page (similar to the Documents Page in PWA)
that will link directly to the Discussions page of each Project -- and I am
still finding out how to do this by asking around.
Using the second option might be too manual since I would have to enter all
the discussion board URL for EACH PROJECT.

It's actually the consolidation of these links to make them appear in one
page (or better by making them appear in the project center just like how
issues, risks and documents can be accessed from the project center via the
icon indicators) is what im trying to achieve.

Anyway, thanks for your suggestions.
