I am sure my issue is a problem with my hosting company, but I would like to
confirm that is is not a FrontPage Issue.
Several times lately our discussion board file ( _disc ) has all the thread
files reset to 00000001. It does not affect the TOC file. So anyone that
replys to a thread with a high thread number, is not able to read the thread.
It garbages the whole discussion. When this happens the site settings are
changed and I have to go in and reset to "view hidden files". My only resolve
when this happens is to clean the toc content file and start the discussion
new. When I have to delete ongoing discussion, it defeated the purpose of a
discussion board. LOL.
Anyway, can anyone shed some light on this issue? Somewhere in my research I
thought I read something about a _disc file only being able to retain 1000
post? I counted the threads and there was about 1550 when the file reset.
thanks
