DIscussion Board

Is the FrontPage Discussion Board the best thing going for
intranet use? I need a discussion board that emails the
group or specific individuals when a new topic has been
posted or a response has been posted. FP does not do
this. Thanks for any suggestions.

Although the discussion board in FP is easy to install it is not very feature rich.

You may want to consider more of a dynamic board that will allow you to offer a variety of features for now and also in the future.

There are many free / low cost discussion apps out there that are really nice and fairly easy to install. You can view quite a few at this link:

Take a look at WSS under Windows 2003 (users can get notified of changes to the built in web parts like the DW)
