Discussion Board

I set up Discussion Board for a client, but only shows the IP addresses of
the remote user, no remote user name. How do I force the email address to be
included?

You would have to add a field and then require the user to enter it. However doing so would allow
all email addresses to be harvested by spam robots looking for email addresses.

How do I create a new thread on this board. When I click on "New" nothing
happens. I'm only allowed to reply to an existing question.

I can't answer that problem but I usuallly what I do is to click any post
to select it and right click and choose sent to group and delete the subject
line and contents and enter my own info... it works just as well.

Kathleen, thank you for asking that question. It seems that I have downloaded
a dozen Javascript requests so I'm not sure if any of it is working. If
"Javascript" is what I need to correspond simply on this board, then how do I
activate same. Thanks for your help.

When you click on the "new" button, you should get a dropdown that asks you
to choose either Question, Suggestion for Microsoft, or General Comment.
What happens when you select that button?

Sorry to be so long in responding to your question. I get the dropdown, I
select "Question" and nothing happens. It simply blinks and gives me no
opportunity to post.

Kathleen, I think I found the problem. A popup blocker was preventing the
opportunity to post. Duh!
