discussion threads do not appear

Hi,

I have set up a discussion on my website using Frontpage 2002. However, when
you click on a posted article to read it, the article open up at the bottom
of the TOC page. It does not open up on a new page and it does not thread
with the other article. Does anyone know why this is hapenning? The url for
the discussion TOC is:

http://www.shadowcaves.com/disc6_toc.htm

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

ignacio

When you created the discussion web, did you create it locally and then published it unchanged from
the defaults set by FP?

Hi Thomas,

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, I created the discussion locally using the wizard.

Then I publsihed. But, here is where my problems began. At first I published
to my host using ftp. This corrupted fp extensions and the discussion did not
work. My host told me to publish again using http. I did that. I proceeded to
delete all the discussion files off the server and uploaded them again.
However, the discussions do not "thread". Perhaps there is a file I did not
upload? Or maybe I corrupted something?

Thanks again

I would suggest deleting you entire site on the live/remote server (you do have a complete local
copy, correct?), then republishing via FP's http mode.

Hi Thomas,

Yes, all my files are on my pc.

I just connected to the server "live" and I deleted all files. Then I
connected to the server through http and I published all the web and subwebs.

But the rpoblem is still there. Maybe I am not deleleting properly because
when I posted a an artcile to test, it showed up as "article 12" (although
all the other ones were deleted).

I await your further advice.

Thomas,

I've created a new discussion group and posted that one. Things seem to be
working now. I just have to format the group. I don't know what went was
wrong before but I hope things are good now.

Thanks again,

Ignacio
