disk drive and floppy drive won't work

My dad was trying to fix our phone as we have comcast and it is hooked up to
my computer, he disconnected some stuff and plugged it back in. Now my disk
drive and my floppy drive won't work.

I can't tell you how many stories I've heard about brothers-in-law who
screwed up computers. One time it was the sister-in-law. Good reason to only
allow people you trust *implicitly* to fiddle with your computer. They
shouldn't do anything to your computer that they wouldn't do to their own.
If their computer is a POS, lock your computer up when they are around!
