Disk is full or too many files are open

Hi all:

I'm getting this error when I try to "save as" to folders on a CD in
office XP standard. If the CD has no folders on it and I try to "save
as," Word doesn't even recognize the drive.

Help!

You cannot and should save Word documents directly to any removable drive.
It is the number 1 cause of document corruptions. Save to the HDD and then
copy to any removable media.
