"Display as" in Outlook 2002 contacts

I do not want to the display name for all my email
contacts to be name(email address). I want it to just be
name. I know that I can go into each email address and
edit the display name, but I have over 400 contacts. Is
there a way to do this globally?

The user, who got a new laptop, doesn't like the way it
looks. As they are a partner in the Firm I am trying all
avenues to accomodate tehm.

Thanks.

No. Why do you need to change it?

Unless someone has written code I don't know about, the only way to change
the Display as field from the GUI is individually and manually. It's not a
frequent request because the Display As field is of so little consequence.
