Display As name in contacts - Outlook 2002

I have just installed Outlook 2002 and imported all my
contacts and the display As name under the email in each
contact has been automatically inserted as John Black
([email protected]). The thing is when you you are
looking up addresses in the 'To' box you have the name of
the contact and then the display name and you are
continually having to scroll right to see the addresses
so you know which one to pick when there are multiple
entries for one person.
Is there a way to bulk change the way to show
the 'display as' field or is there a way to change
the 'select name' box so you can display the 'display as'
name only.

They can only be changed individually unless someone has written code to do
it.
