Display birthday and anniversary dates in Calendar

I have seen posts which describe this but none that say how to do it. How do
I get the birthdays and anniversaries in Contacts to show in the Calendar?

It does it automatically when you save the contact if the birthdate and/or
anniversary is filled in.

What version of Outlook? Are you syncing with a handheld device? Did you
import the contacts or create them?
