Display contact name in appointment or meeting

Single user - Outlook 2000 on XP and 98se

When I click on a Contact to setup an appointment
or meeting, the Contact Name does not display in the
Day/Week/Month View.

Is this normal? If it isn't what do I need to do so
the Contact Name will display?
