All,
I am trying to get a Resource custom field to properly display data in the
Data Analysis view and it just won’t show up correctly. I am hoping you can
point me to the right direction. Many Thanks.
Here is what I did: I created a custom enterprise Resource field called
Team_Name with a Lookup Table that specifies the teams to which each resource
belongs. I edited the resources in the Enterprise Resource Pool and
specified their teams.
The relationship and data of Team_Name and Resource List displays correctly
in the PWA’s Resoruce Center.
I need to setup an OLAP view that displays for a specific project, the Work
measure with Team_Name dimension that drill down to Resource List, and Time
dimension.
Using “Resource Non Timephased†cube, the Team_Name displays correctly and
showed the correspondent Resource List, but I do not have the Work measure.
Using the “MSP_Portfolio_Analyzer†cube, I see the Work measure, Team_Name,
Resource List and Time dimensions. I first added Work measure and Resource
List; the data displays correctly. When I added Team_Name in front of
Resource List, the Work measure changed to null and does not display
correspondent Resource List.
I figure it probably has something to do with the difference between
resource table and task/assignment table. My custom resource field works in
resource table, not task/assignment table. The Work measure is in
Task/assigment table, not in resource table.
Is there a way around it? Can I modify the database schema in the reporting
database to make this work?
Many Thanks for your help…
