Display Icon in custom view

I am trying to display an icon that represents whether a task is
updated/deleted from a remote source. I know that I can add UserProperty
that holds that information but I would like to display an icon that
represents the information and I would like for the custom view
representation to be readonly.

Is there any pointers that anyone could describe to me to help in this
endeavor.

Thanks,

Thaddaeus.

Outlook doesn't support custom icon fields in views.

Darn. Would there be a possibility of utilizing some extended mapi
interface to provide some sort of icon to put in a view field?
