Display logo on Website

I am creating a new web site (my first) with FP2003. I have inserted a logo
which looks great in the design format. In IE preview it is a red x. Will
it have to be resized or will it show automatically when I publish the site.
In FP it is set at pixel size 116 w x 93 h. I am a real newbie at this
so please help in layman's terms if possible. The logo was imported from my
documents and the file size there is 61.7 KB (jpeg), 768 x 530 pixels. I
just scaled it down in my Web site design but I read that it may not show up
in that form on the Web.

The red x indicates the image is not properly in your web.
You must have your local FrontPage Web open.
Then File | Import and import the image from your hard drive into a folder,
such as images, in your web.
Then, File | Insert Picture on the page and save.

WOW!! I did the process you suggested and it worked perfectly. I have spent
a lot of time trying to figure this out myself (foolish) so you can imagine
my excitement when I looked in the IE preview and there it was ! Thank you
so much from a very ecstatic Canadian. One more question, if you don't mind
- how slow is too slow when checking reports view for slow pages and what
makes them slow. I have no graphics (except the logo) on my pages.

another hint; don't let FP resize your images, resize & optimize them before
you import into FP.

Thanks for the tip. Is there any way to tell if there will be a problem if I
didn't do the resize properly and can I fix it afterwards?

always save a copy of the original image...never work on the original
(well,,,if it's important anyway)
IrFanview is a good (free) program for resizing, optimizing, batch renaming
etc.
