Display Map of Address in Outlook Contacts

J

Jenny Lynn

Hello,

Can somebody answer a simple question. When I click on
the "Display Map of Address" button in the Contacts
portion of Outlook 2003, a MSN map does indeed come
up...but it is a huge map, just showing the city where
the contact is located...not the actual address.

Now I have all the address info filled in properly...no
problem there. Is this a bug in Outlook 2003, or is this
normal...where all you get is the city...and not the
actual street?

Thanks in advance.

If you use the zoom settings on the map, does it not go to the address?

No...not enough zoom. Try one yourself, and see what
happens. This is no big deal though...I was just
wondering if I had something set up wrong.

I am using MapPoint 2004 on my machine so I do not go to the web.

Milly is correct. To get a specific address and location you have to be running MapPoint
My contacts addresses display to the specific address/location with MapPoint 2004.

I don't have MapPoint on my PC.

When I use the road map option in OL 2003 it brings up a small map with the
address in 3d lettering.

We had the same issue as the OP
Did a trial of MapPoint gave us the specific address, plus the other features
Use this in our business, deliveries, job site addresses, etc.
Much better results and route planning etc..
