Hi there,

I have just purchased office 2008 and when I send an email though entourage in the From section it says office 2004 test drive user. How can I change this as people I email don't know who it is coming from?

Cheers

I just answered this same question yesterday...
This is happening because you started up the Office Test drive at least once
on your computer (test drive used to come pre-installed on many mac models).
If you did not completely remove all vestiges of the test drive before
installing the 'proper' version you get all sorts of mess and nasties like
this.

Unfortunately, the only reliable solution is to remove all parts of test
drive and proper release by using the 'remove office' utility that you can
find in the office application folder tree. Having nuked everything from
high orbit, you can then re-install the full version and your troubles
should be over.

Thanks for the reply,

I actually did that when i installed office 2008 - used the previous remove office tool. I just tried it again and it still does it.

A big pain in the backside as here in Aus internet is expensive and I lose all the downloaded emails on Entourage. About 500MB and as we are allowed only 1 gig a month it's pretty ridiculous.

Is there any other way to change your email display name? It's bloody annoying as I just paid $$ for the office 2008 suite and when I send emails no-one knows who it's from!

Cheers
