display number of total messages at bottom of inbox

I know how to right click on the inbox, select properties and display either
unread or read inbox totals.

What I need to learn is how to leave the setting at unread messages but also
display the total number of messages inside the folder in a bar at the bottom
of the inbox view. I used to have this set on my old computer but can seem to
figure out how i did it.
