display of graphics on opening doc

S

Semper Fi

When I first open a doc with a graphic/eps inserted as the first
character or I use a text box and insert the graphic in the upper L
corner of page, the graphic will NOT appear in page display until I
page down and then page back up. I'm using Word 2004 on mac 10.3.9.
Word X never functioned this way...any ideas what this is all about?

Yeah: It's a bug. If you place a single character (e.g. A space) before
the graphic or the anchor for the text box, so the graphic is not then the
FIRST character in the file, the problem won't occur.

It's annoying, so it's on their list to get fixed, but it's not a high
priority :)
