Display project guide is not available

In Microsoft Project 2003, I want to use the Project Guide.
It does not appear on the View Toolbars menu.
The option on the Interface tab of the Tools Option dialog is greyed out - I
cannot select Display Project Guide.
How can I resolve this?

Hi TRE,

Is the rest of Project functioning normally? Can you create and save
new project files?
