display query execution time on textbox or progress bar

hello

i would like to know if it is possible to know the execution time that takes
a query to run, to display it on a textbox or a progressbar.
i am doing an aplication that as to copy a lot of data by using queries and
the client wants a progress bar or some visual reference to how much time it
will take.
