Display the hyperlink

Dan Condie

I have a list of websites that are hyperlinked. So the
actual address doesn't show on the spreadsheet (unless I
hover over the cell with my mouse, then the url shows in a
pop-up). How can I display in column B the address that
the cell in column A directs to?

thanks.

I tried it.. I created a cell with a link in it with
a 'freindly' name.. which is what I think you're
describing. The cell refers to www.google.com, but
appears as GOOGLE, underlined and in blue. I copied the
cell.. just a plain jane copy.. and the result was the
text 'www.google.com in the target cell. sounds like what
you need...

You have the choice of displaying the hyperlink AS the
URL or as some label.
I would input the URL as text BEFORE setting the
hyperlink. Next, copy the text to a second cell and
THEN, set the hyperlink to the first cell.
